Timestreamer the first version of Nosgothica 3D is available right now.You can download it at the link below! I hope you guys find it useful and fun. For those of you who don't know what it is... It's like those Lok timeline images and maps that you see some people have made, but this one is 3D and fully interactive!

Here are some of the features.

1. Explorable 3D map of Nosgoth (with changing environments)

2. Full control functions w,a,s,d and zooming/lifting/lowering/tilting navigation!

3. File through the entire timeline and see what happens!

4. Game screenshots for events and full story explinations

5. Jumper mode toggle makes it so that you can jump to the most recent event location or simply do your own navigating through the eras.

6. Follow the character you choose by jumping with them through eras.

download - 50MB

Happy downloading!

(Note that all objects in the program are simple representations and aren't meant to be detailed...yet... this is really just to get the idea across... although version 2.0 will have highly detailed objects and characters. This version may also contain a few glitches...these will be fixed in time. If you are having download trouble, just ask around and someone or myself may be able to help you... although it should work fine)

Also, one thing that is really interesting is pressing -J- to turn jumper mode off

(make sure it says 'jumper mode is in-active')  then press -K- to move the camera to king's throne... then use -R- to raise the camera up higher and -G- to look at the ground more. Then when you have a good view of the map, press 1, see what happens, then 2, see what happens, then 5, then 8.  This will jump you from the beginning era to the Sarafan winter era, to the Blood Omen era, to the Soul Reaver era... Really interesting to see the kinds of changes that Nosgoth underwent.

Absolutely excellent!! This is the greatest.

Just two questions: Kain restoring the Pillars using the dial and reaver, is this educated speculation or info supported by anyone at CD? Same regarding young Kain reviving Vorador.

Blood Omen 2 Kain seemed to know that Vorador had 'been in the grave'

at the end of Blood Omen 2... when he said the line 'Do you so wish to return to the grave?'  This indicates that this Kain was the one who resurrected him... further evidence shows in the intro scenes to Blood Omen 2, that Vorador and Kain were

'partnered' in their plans for dominance almost directly after 100 A.C.

indicating that Kain had 'been around' Vorador during the time of his ressurection.

This to me is simply too obvious that BO2 Kain resurrected Vorador.

There's enough evidence to place it as an event, although it is technically not proven.

Also, yes the pillars do function by way of the embued reaver.

'the pillars are the lock, and the reaver is the key'... The pillars are a dial as you

can easily see by looking at them, and the reaver is said by some of the LOK creators and several references to have 'interacted' with the pillars somehow.

My guess is that it would be by way of the small 'diamond' like shape outside of the trianular formation at the center. I likely raises up and is a holder so to speak for the reaver, but no one knows for sure.

So this is Nosgoth through the Prodigal Son's Eye, i don't think that words can express the mass of joy that striked me as i started to navigate through this 3D Book. So Jake i know you're probably tired of hearing this but You Rule Dude! You are truly most powerfully equipped to be Nosgoth's Agent - the One ho could bring restoration and retribution to this Unfinished Legacy once and for all... :)

Hey Jake, do you think there will be MAC compatibility for this?  It sounds really cool and I'd like to look at it but I unfortunately have a Mac instead of a PC.  Which also means that I can't play Prodigal Sons : (  But anyway, if it doesn't, that's okay.  Just let me know if you can.

@ last two responses.

response 1:  Thanks for pointing out the Dumah missing thing, I guess there was too much to type and I left him out...lol... i guess it was Dumah's turn to be left out...lol. I fix it soon. Also, what is your operating system? If it is XP, you may encounter a few issues, but just make sure your firewall or popup blocker and security isnt too high. If you do get it workign, try the following: When you're in the timeline somewhere,  try pressing -8- then when you see that it is in the Soul Reaver era, press right until you see kain at the chronoplast in the screenshot. It will have an option to press -H- to follow Raziel back to the events of SR2 when he arrives in the sarafan stronghold... If you choose not to go back you can press right to continue with the timeline... If you press H from the chronoplast screen, then follow Raziel by going through the timeline from there, you'll eventually see the screen with Moebius' smirk when he tricks Raziel and sends him into the future, press H again at this screen and it will follow Raziel to 100 A.C. when he emerges into the damp, broken stronghold... The H option really just makes it so that you can follow the events of any of the games in their rightful order.

response 2:

Sorry about the Mac thing... Right now there is no compatibility for Mac, but there will be soon. If you have any other computers, I might suggest installing it on them if possible for now. Sorry for the inconvenience, I'll see what I can do!

HI Jake. I ha two questions for you!

1- This Nosgothica interactive map seem's very fun and quite nicely amde for all of us fans, but sadly I have Xp home edition and even if I remove pop up's, lower security levels and firewall I don't see any charaters and thus cannot follow them. Is ther a solution to this?

2- I started working on a WC3 map of Nosgoth, but I have no modeling or graphics skills. I am not working on it much presently, nut will this summer. If you wan't to would you help me in making some models of your importable for the WC3 engin. Of course credit will always be given. Actually it is starting to look like the Nosgoth map (but might be a bit smaller). But I have been challenged of using others models that look nosgothish. With your help it can become a great game.

Thank you for considering.

go check ou some pics on this site  http://nosgothwarcraft3.webs.com/apps/photos/

WOW!

Hey, that was great! What engine is that? It's a Warcraft engine?

I think that's excellent!

By the way, the characters are not actually visible on the map itself. Version two will contain 'character markers' which can be used to see where all of the characters are located.  H to follow the character events really just means that when you see an *H* notification in the timeline, you have the option of 'following' that character to their next experience in the timeline. Chances are, the program is working just fine on your pc ^_^      I'd be glad to help you with this Warcraft Nosgoth map... How does it work?

I want to do what I can to help others out with their Lok projects.

Cool that you enjoyed what is done sofar. This is just a peak. Yes it is the warcraft 3 map editor. Hopefully you have a ligit copy of the game. It is very cheap now. You need the WC3 forzen throne expansion.

I will add you to friend list. We can mail ourself for now on this site has it is quite practical.

If you wan't to join in and make an historical WC3 map of Nosgoth then in the mean while what you can do is get familiarised with the engine and the program for modelling or converting models and the texturing.

Are the model in Nosgotica separeted models that can be exported? Because for example, we can use a similar pillars model in the WC3 map. It would look good.

What I suggest is that you go see the TOOLS on both of those sites : http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/news.php

and http://www.wc3c.net/

for tutorials there is this site it also has a usefull forum

http://world-editor-tutorials.thehelper.net/

I have learned most of my knowledge about mapping etc. on those sites.

Keep up the good work Jake. I can wait to lay the games you are preparing.

By the way my name is François.

Like I said I will mostly work on my map project this summer, but we can plan some stuff ahead when you are feeling ready for it.

Just went through Nosgothica 3D 1.0, and it is very good. Though I wish it kind of had a scroll over with your mouse to see what building is which. Maybe a little history note with it. Great job Jake.

Yes,

Highlightable locations and background information will become an option in 1.1

I will make sure of that. Also labeled location toggle and character markers will be added as well. By version 2.0 Necromancer, the environment and building detail will be much better and higher. For now, this is a timeline, but will continue to be improved as time goes on.
